Easter Plaid Ruffle Dress and Bow Tie

You may have seen these outfits I created for my kids already but I've been designing even more outfits for the kiddo's and couldn't post them without posting the very first outfits that I created.

I was fortunate to receive some pieces of fabric from Great Grandma Cutts' collection.  I've been pouring over them and imagining what I could make.  I saw this very soft and subtle plaid and thought, "Matching outfits for Easter."  But if you know me at all, you know that I don't like to take the time to follow directions.  I spend the whole time trying to figure it out on my own and it just gets messed up.  For some reason it's just easier for me to not read the directions at all.  So getting a pattern for the outfits was out.  What's left to do?  Design it myself!  This is the first structured dress I've made without a pattern.  It was about a month late for Easter but I was still very happy with the result.

Jackson got a handsome bow tie to compliment his handsome face.

10 layers of ruffle!

Love the dress mom, but hate the pictures!

(If the kids look a little cranky and discheveled it's because
I had to take these pictures after church instead of before.)
 Let me go!!!

Running around after church.  This gave me a vision of her and I stylishly dressed walking down Rodeo Drive with our bags of clothes, having the time of our lives.  Now I just need to design about a million more dresses and then put them into production so I can make a kajillion dollars to make that vision come true.

Oh dahling!  The dress isn't the only thing with ruffles... check out these shoes!
